He looks at your site often and loves it. His name is Daine Sellers and he caught his catfish out of the Ohio River near Sistersville, WV. During the summer of 2003. He caught a 40 lbs flathead catfish. The bait he used was a blue gill, approx as big as a hand. The fish was released. The point to this is he believes they are at least somewhat territorial. The reason for this belief is the same fish was caught two weeks later on the same dock in the same hole, by his friend A.J. Meeks. The reason knowing it was the same fish is because the fish was missing an eye and it had distinct markings on the side. It had lost approx 15 lbs in the two week period maybe due to shock or some unkown reason. Daine would also like to know if you or anyone has experienced this type of incident with the catfish being territorial to any extent. Thank you for your time, Nikki Sims </td><td><img height="400" src="http://www.carpecarpio.com/DSellers40flathead06.jpg" width="238" alt=""/> </td></tr></tbody></table> |
