We had the best summer for big catfish in many years. We also caught lots of big channel cats as well as big stripers and sauger. It was 45 pounds, 49 inches long, and had a girth of 36". He used a 12' surf rod, shakespere spinning reel, and 30 lbs spider wire. The bait was a 5" bluegill. <td></td>Species: Flathead Cat <br/>Weight: 55 lbs <br/>Angler: Eric Graham <br/>Bait: Cutbait shad <br/>Location: Ohio River, IN <br/><br/>The Flat Head that is in the Picture is 55 LBS ad was Caught April 3, 2003 in the Ohio river at the Mark land Dam Pool. Velvety, Indiana. Caught on cut shad about 150 yards from the base of the dam, it was a buster getting him in 2 hrs or so river was up and Flooding. But it was a fun day..
