Welcome to Beijing.I once worked in Pakistan 20 years ago and I caught big turtles in the Indus River using mutton as Fishbait. There are snakeheads in Beijing. I saw snakehead in the Tongzi River yesterday.

Today I saw a video of monster bighead carp, caught in Mangla Damm in Pakistan.  It was around 35 KG. I doesn't know much about bighead carp fishing, but heard that bighead is filter feeder and caught only on surface fishing.
In Beijing I have seen people using floats to catch Bighead carp in Chaobehai river.
Surprisingly in that video, it was caught in deep water.

snailhead exists here, i could give you some advice where you could find them.
